“We want everyone to know that there are people here who believe in God and trust His Word”. More than 10 denominations got together to read the Bible.
The ‘Malecón’ in Havana, Cuba, eight long kilometres of promenade along the sea, is one of the most visited places on the island.
This was the place chosen by a group of Cuban believers last week, to read the Bible and share the gospel with others.
In the last 10 years, the members of the Iglesia Liga Evangélica de Cuba (Evangelical League Church of Cuba) get together in the ‘malecón’ of Havana to read the Bible.
“This year, we decided to do it in the morning, and summon other churches from the area. More than 10 churches and denominations have met and that is a great joy”, a woman from the Iglesia Liga Evangélica de Cuba said.
She explained that “families, new believers, adults, handicapped people, have gathered for this special event”.
“We want everyone to know that there are people here who believe in God and trust in His Word, who grow and feed their faith reading His Word”, another member added.
It is a way “to give testimony of a church that seeks God through His Word, that we follow His commandments, it is a beautiful blessing”.
