Albanian evangelicals joined forces to organise an evangelistic tour in 10 different towns. About 300 said they wanted to learn more about Jesus.

The unity gathering came after seven evangelistic concerts in seven squares in the capital city of Albania. Over 3,000 people heard the gospel.

It was the largest such event in recent years in the in the Muslim-majority Balkan country.

Christian leaders from five countries describe alcohol consumption in their society and how churches view it: “Moderate consumption is unproblematic for most evangelicals”.

Alesio Sema in Albania and Giacomo Ciccone in Italy address the issue of migration from an evangelical perspective.

VUSH, the country’s Evangelical Alliance, held its General Assembly. Over 190 churches and organisations are among its members.

TWR’s Central and Eastern Europe ministries include 15 countries and 18 language groups, partnering with like-minded organizations.

Around 120 leaders from 30 countries shared knowledge and prayed together for their work in the continent.

The evangelical Ylli Doci is the chairman of the Interreligious Council of Albania. But why does the Albanian Evangelical Alliance commit time to this interreligious work?

Albania is expected to start accession talks concerning full EU membershis immediately, while North Macedonia will first need to make changes in the constitution.

Albania might become a success story of Christian mission using schools as a tool to build a church strong enough to support itself and work for the kingdom of God.

Less than 20 evangelical believers were alive when Albania regained freedom in 1991. Now, there are about 200 evangelical churches in every corner of the country.

Christians in various countries mention the loneliness in times of confinement and the needs of the elderly, as priorities to be addressed in the coming weeks of crisis.

Houses, schools and other buildings suffered severe damage, but no human deaths have been reported. The tremor “has the potential to bring people closer to each other and to God”, say Christians in Albania.

Several events to celebrate the 125th anniversary of VUSH (Evangelical Alliance Albania). “To understand evangelicals, you must understand the meaning of the gospel, the good news of God’s love for everyone”.

Churches from many regions met in Tirana to pray for the country and to speak of God as the “only hope” for Albania.

The Qiriazi is a well-known family in the country but not many know that it was the gospel that motivated their work in education.

Christian volunteers from Korce (Albania) serve in the well-known camp in Greece. In weekly teams of 10 people they work with a Children's Corner. “SD memory Cards which contain the Jesus film and Bible in Arabic” are given to some adults.
