The refugee crisis, the hardships in Greece, the threat of Islamic terrorism, violence in Ukraine, the global financial crisis… Vote.

Europe is facing several challenges that will leave a mark on the continent in the next years. The global financial crisis started years ago, and while some countries start to recover, citizens in countries like Greece find themselves in a very dark tunnel.
Jihadist terrorism (particularly Daesh-IS and Boko Haram) has destabilized states like Syria and Libya. Thousands of families have left their homes, leading to the biggest refugee crisis since World War II – more than 4 million people left Syria, most of these families now hosted by Turkey. Inside the EU, Germany and Sweden are the countries who have received most refugees, other countries showed reluctance to contribute.
So far in 2015, Islamic terrorist attacks have also targeted European cities like Paris and Copenhagen, leading all national governments to raise the security measures and propelling new laws that could, in the long term, affect freedom of speech and religion.
Meanwhile, the Minsk deal in February helped to reduce violence in the Ukraine-Russia conflict, but violence this week in Kiev shows that the country has still many wounds that need to be healed.
