Thousands gathered in 36 Spanish cities to pray for the needs of the country.
On 14 June, thousands of evangelical Christians across Spain, from Galicia in the north to Andalusia in the south, from Catalonia to the Canary Island, joined together in a single cry: “Your Kingdom come, Lord, over Spain”.
The prayer meetings, organised by the Spain,We Pray for You (España Oramos por ti) platform, once again filled squares, streets and churches in the 36 events that took place.
The common theme of this year was the passage from Matthew 6:10: 'Your Kingdom come'. With this theme in mind, the Church prayed for the Kingdom to be established in the families, institutions, youth, children and society.
They prayed for Spain to be transformed by the values of the Kingdom: salvation, justice, truth, reconciliation and mercy; and for a spiritual awakening that begins in the Church and renews the moral and spiritual roots of the nation.

At a time when confusion, division and discontent seem to be setting the pace for the world, the church in Spain prayed with humility, acknowledging its dependence on God, and with gratitude knowing that the Lord continues to work among his people.
In cities such as Madrid, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Valencia, Zaragoza and Málaga, the meetings included marches, public worship, Bible readings and prayers for the youth, families, education, the economy, the media and the authorities.
In other cities, such as Barcelona, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Tarragona, Arrecife or Albacete, meetings were held in local churches, auditoriums or cultural centres with the same aim of interceding before God.

The event had a high turnout, and a spirit of unity was present at each meeting. Believers from different evangelical traditions came together, showing that beyond denominational styles, the Church is one when it prays together for the Kingdom of God.
In addition to the face-to-face meetings, participants could join a live stream on YouTube, which allowed them to watch gatherings in other parts of the country.

The organising and facilitating committee of the event is convinced that this meeting is the continuation of a project that began eighteen years ago, with a view to future gatherings.
Spain, We Pray for You is no longer just an annual event. What began as the dream of a few evangelical leaders is now a national movement that grows year after year in not only in attendance, but also in unity, social and spiritual impact.

“The next event will be on 13 June 2026. We believe that we must continue to create new opportunities to pray and live in unity, because it pleases the Lord, and he sends his blessings”, say the organisers.
