It is deeply encouraging to witness how brothers and sisters in Poland continue in the work for God’s Kingdom and look for new ways to proclaim the Gospel and equip believers.
From June 5–7, 2025, the 44th National Church Conference took place at the Baptist Church Center in Warsaw Radość. This time, it was a reporting and electoral conference. It was especially significant due to the elections – for the new Chair of the Church Council in the Republic of Poland and the new Church Audit Committee.
The conference opened with a worship service, during which Honorary Presbyter Konstanty Wiazowski delivered the sermon. At the heart of his message was the amazing grace of God – the beauty of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which one can never get enough of, and which can never be fully comprehended or known. After his moving words, a hymn about grace was sung. Anyone who has ever attended a National Church Conference would agree that the delegates – due to the significant majority of men – form an absolutely unique choir, and the level of solemnity and praise is impressing.
An important part of the gathering were the formal sessions, during which discussions took place on proposed changes to the Fundamental Internal Law and the update of the 1930 Statement of Faith. Though these discussions were filled with passion and engagement, everything was conducted in order, surrounded by prayer and brotherly love.
During subsequent sessions, reports were presented from various ministries within the Baptist Church in Poland, as well as plans for future projects. The Audit Committee concluded and summarized its term. The Chair of the Church Council, Presbyter Marek Głodek, also gave a report on his ministry and shared reflections on the now completed four-year term. Brother Głodek received many words of appreciation for his work and dedication in facing the often challenging responsibilities of this position.
It is deeply encouraging to witness how brothers and sisters continue in the work for God’s Kingdom and look for new ways to proclaim the Gospel and equip believers. One especially timely and inspiring presentation was given by Sławomir Zawadzki from the “EXE” church in Gdańsk. He presented data on social media usage in our country and spoke about the use of Artificial Intelligence to reach as many people as possible with God’s Word. We hope these tools will be helpful and effectively used for God’s glory in our rapidly changing and technologically advancing world.
The culmination of the conference were the elections for the Audit Committee and the Chair of the Church Council. With 93% of the votes, Marek Głodek was re-elected – this time as the sole candidate. Presbyter Konstanty Wiazowski returned to the stage and, accompanied by former Chairs of the Church Council, blessed brother Głodek for his next term of service. The conference concluded with a solemn worship service attended by the Głodek family, who were also prayed over as those supporting the Chair’s ministry, and warmly congratulated.
The organization of this conference was entrusted to the Organizing Committee, which I had the privilege to lead.
