No one notices me

When you talk about basketball coaches, you cannot avoid mentioning one of the most important ones: ARNOLD 'RED' AUERBACH.

Nine times champion in the NBA, 1037 victories and no end of players turned into stars through his knowledge. His main virtue was his special ability to attract and win players whom no one else would trust.

Stories of famous sports people can make those who read them sad, as they begin to feel inadequate by comparison.

When people see how much fame, power and money others have, they may think: 'If only I were...' Sometimes we get the impression that nothing that we do is worth anything.

Perhaps we think this because we do not know God as much as we should.

But just think about these points:

1. God does not consider our appearance. Circumstances might place us in the defeated team, but that does not worry God. We are of great value to him: not for what we have, not for our personal circumstances, not for our appearance.

God loves us for what we are, and for what we are going to be. No-one believes in us more than God does.

2. God loves us.  'You are precious and I love you'. Perhaps nobody has ever said such sincere words to you in all your life.

God does not only love us, he is love: that's one of his attributes, and he is love in such a way that he's able to bear scorn, hate, blasphemy, and thousands of other sinful acts that mankind commits against him. He does it out of love, waiting for us to realise our enormous mistake.

3. God doesn't waste anything. He does not save useless people. God does not make rubbish - we do, because we are sinners and our mistakes not only destroy our lives, but also nature itself.

But God has never created anything useless. When God created you, he made you in such a way that no other person in the world could replace you.1.

4. God is working on you. It's his great purpose, at this moment, to convert us into his work of art (Ephesians 2:10). God is shaping us in accordance with his own character, a perfect and happy character.

God has not finished with you yet. Each day he is moulding you and me into something new, something that makes us unique. God has a plan for your life, you have a great value!
