Evangelical churches and entities have begun to aid assisting victims on the ground and sending donations.

A report of the Spanish public TV shows the social action of evangelical associations during the pandemic. “We put the five loaves and two fish, and the Lord has multiplied them”.

“It is better than the old Moria and other camps”, a Christian aid worker says. “2020 will be a record low for refugee resettlement”, the UNHCR warns.

Evangelical NGO Remar distributes hundreds of free lunches to healthcare workers and other personnel in front of the IFEMA building, the biggest field hospital in Spain.

Hundreds have become homeless after the blaze, about 800 sleeping spaces were destroyed. “We are here because of love for them”, Chistian volunteers said.

Riots caused a massive fire in the camp of Moria (4,000 refugees), many tents and prefabricated houses were burnt. Members of NGO Remar: “The situation is chaotic. Most refugees will not have a place to sleep in the next days”.
