The events feature music, art, prayer, worship, and a message of encouragement, stressing the importance of living courageously according to Jesus’ calling.

Aglow Spain gathered over 1,500 women this year, at two large conferences held under the theme ‘Courageous’.
The gatherings took place in the Spanish cities of Burgos and Mérida, during the first two weekends of February.
The Burgos event was held from 30 January to 1 February, with over 900 people participating in a programme that combined worship, workshops, and moments of adoration. The Mérida conference took place from 6 to 8 February.

Ana Giménez, the president of Aglow Spain, welcomed attendees at both events, stressing the importance of living out Jesus' call with courage.
In Burgos, attendees included Carlos Niño, Councillor for the Environment; Carolina Bueno, Executive Secretary of the Spanish Federation of Evangelical Religious Entities (FEREDE); and Agustín Melguizo, President of the Evangelical Council of Castile and León region.
In Mérida, Ana Aragonés, the Councillor for Equality and Festivities, and Catalina Alarcón, the Councillor for Social Services, attended, along with Elisabeth Mayorga, the President of the Evangelical Council of Extremadura, and Sara Lobato, who was representing FEREDE.
This was the first time that City Council representatives attended an evangelical event.

The plenary sessions were led by pastors Samuel and Sara Nielsen from the Iranian church in Barcelona and pastor Jaz Jacob from the Amistad Cristiana church in Madrid.
The Nielsens encouraged attendees to live and preach the gospel, trusting in God's power.
They shared personal testimonies about the time Sara and her sister were imprisoned in Iran, where they were held in solitary confinement, and highlighted the divine care they experienced during that time.
“Difficulty is part of your story, but only God writes the ending, and in Him the ending is always victory”, they added.
Meanwhile, Jaz Jacob challenged women to step out of their comfort zones and rise up courageously to live in obedience, delving deeper into the study of the Word, free from fear.
She also encouraged them to be women of prayer, reminded them that they will reap what they sow; and urged them to pray boldly and courageously. She mentioned Joshua as an example of someone who succeeded because of “his obedience and his obsession with God's presence”.

The worship times were led by the group Adoramos (We Worship), under the direction of Nohemí Lorite.
On Saturday night, there was a performance by the group Íntimo (Intimate), a worship movement that seeks to focus all attention on Christ, defining itself as “the church that is returning to the heart of God”.
The programme also included artistic performances. In Burgos, Ester Callejón presented a classical dance show, while in Mérida, there was a fusion of classical dance and flamenco, under the direction of Miriam Jiménez and accompanied by María Coto and Miriam Wic.
Furthermore, the painter Laura Solano participated once again in the Aglow conferences, creating artworks live.
As in previous years, over 30 women served in the Prayer Room, interceding for both the event and the personal needs of those in attendance.
The workshops at both conferences addressed topics such as inner healing; renewed minds; returning to the essence; evangelism; baptism in the Holy Spirit; and depression and anxiety.
The National Board of Aglow Spain expressed its gratitude to God for enabling them to hold the conferences in both cities despite the bad weather.
Founded in 1967 by a small group of women, Aglow now has over 4,000 groups in 172 countries.
In Spain, the organisation continues to promote unity among churches and provide training, prayer and spiritual growth opportunities for women.
The Aglow 2027 meetings will be held in Tarragona from 29 to 31 January and in Granada from 6 to 8 February.
