“Jesus gave us wisdom and understanding, so all the glory to Him”, said the Dominican singer when he received the award for best album.
Dominican singer Juan Luis Guerra was the big winner at the Latin Grammy Awards night, which took place on Thursday at a gala held in Miami.
The artist, who has already won 28 Latin Grammys in his career, was grateful and excited to receive the most important award of the night, which recognised his work with Radio Güira, voted the best album of the year.
“After 40 years of career, I feel happy to be with you”, said Guerra, who wanted to share his award with the other nominees.

“The idea of Radio Güira came from Jesus, completely from Jesus. He gave us the wisdom, the understanding, so all the glory and honour to him. Anyone who receives grace goes headfirst into heaven, glory to God”, pointed out the Dominican artist when he received the award for best album.
Guerra won three other awards at the gala, the best merengue and/or bachata album recording for his project Radio Güira. He also won best recording of the Year and best tropical song for his song Mambo 23.
Daddy Yankee also won a Grammy in the Best Urban Song category for Bonita.
The Puerto Rican urban artist showed his gratitude to “Papa God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit”, in a message on social media, where he highlighted the change God has made in his life.
The winner in the Best Christian Music Album category was the Mexican band Un Corazón (A Heart) for their album Kintsugi.
Kim Richards gave thanks to God and shared a message with the audience about the album's central theme, the restoration that Jesus brings to people.
