He participated in every Olympic Games between 1908 and 1948 (only missing the 1936 event).
There is a part of every one of us which is always open to the temptation to laziness. However hard-working we are, we may open the door to laziness as it whispers how nice it would be to just do nothing.
Laziness is the visitor that we recognise when it knocks on the door, but it's very difficult to refuse it entry, even if we don't give it cakes, coffee, or cold drinks, or even conversation!
