Sexual slavery is “still taboo in our society”, says Mikaela Bruce, director of “Pasarea” (The Bird). It tells the story of a Romanian girl trafficked into Spain for prostitution.

“Interdependence is a Christian principle, it’s good to learn from what is happening across Europe”, says video artist John Lumgair.

A 21-minute short film features U2 frontman Bono and theologian Eugene Peterson talking about how the Psalms have impacted their lives.

The videos, released on April 14, also feature Chilean miner Jose Henriquez and author Alister McGrath, among other well-known Christians.

“We need to acknowledge this darkness within the human soul because only by coming to some understanding of it can we ever truly hope to embrace the light”, says war correspondant Michael Ware.

“It is amazing how these people are still happy, despite everything they have gone through”, director Fernando De Haro explains.

‘A Fortunate Shipwreck’ is a documentary that examines the emptiness of post-Christian society in Quebec after most people left the Catholic Church in the 1950s.
