Around 450 Christians from various denominations gathered in Prague to engage in prayers for the country at the National Day of Prayer.
A draft law aims to cancel the Prayer Day as a public holiday to increase the defence budget. “There is more at stake than a public holiday”, say religious leaders.
“We stand up for our country and ask God for forgiveness. We want to go back to the Word of God”, say the organisers of the event, which follow all coronavirus measures.
