Walking to Parliament Square in London, the March For Life UK defended that “abortion is not healthcare”.

Thousands of people took the streets for the right to life. As in the years before, counter-protests tried to block the March For Life.

As in previous years, the ninth edition of the March for Life began with talks, testimonies, and music for all ages at the morning indoor pro-life festival.

“The right to kill cannot become a supra-legislative rule, a constitutional right”, said organisers of the march for life.

The 12^th March for Life in Switzerland had a festive mood, with live music, testimonies, and a call to implement a 24 hours period of reflection before performing an abortion.

In recent Marches For Life, Christian organisations have suffered attacks and threats. The Evangelical Alliance says the “democratic heritage of Switzerland” must be protected.

This year the theme of the march was '10 million too many', a reference to the number of abortions carried out in the UK since the approval of the Abortion Act in 1967.

“We will continue to defend and give voice to the voiceless”, said Peruvian evangelical congresswoman Milagros Aguayo, who participated in the march.

The peaceful demonstration was often disrupted by aggressive counter-protests. Christians also denounced that “the distorted portrayal of the event by some media was sobering”.

The facilities of the Swiss Evangelical Alliance and two pro-life associations were vandalised ahead of the March For Life. There have been many similar incidents in the country in recent years.

“Abortion should never be a human right”, one speaker said. Counter-protests organised by far-left groups tried to disrupt the march in both countries.

Prior to the march itself, a ‘LifeFest 21’ event took place, with testimonies, children activities and workshops.

Protesters denounce “the commodification of human beings which is looming with the bioethics law”. “The draft law that is neither organic nor ethical”, evangelicals say.

Many evangelicals participated in the marches throughout the country. “We need a united Argentina, committed to human life”, the organisers said.

Demonstrators called for “the protection of the right to life from conception”, and “an end to euthanasia and surrogacy, because children are not goods”.

Under the theme “Life empowers, pro-life is pro-woman”, tens of thousands marched for life in Washington D.C. Donald Trump was the first US President ever to attend the gathering.

Pro-life leaders denounced that the president intends to covertly approve a pro-abortion statute. Fabricio Alvarado, leader of the Costa Rican opposition party, participated in the march.

Catholics, evangelicals and members of other faiths attended the march. “Christians should stand up for those who are weakest and have no voice”. Police had to protect the event from a violent counter-demonstration.

This year’s Swiss ‘March For Life’ denounced that 9 in 10 babies with Down Syndrome have no chance to live. The police had to protect the event from pro-abortion radicals.

Demonstrations filled the streets of 210 Argentinian cities. The demands included a better adoption system and more support for women in a position of fragility.

The ‘Sky-blue wave’ gathered hundreds of thousands in more than 100 cities to defend family, “the two lives” and the fundamental freedoms.

“Welcoming every child, supporting every woman” was one of the messages.

“The pain after abortion” was this year’s theme. Police officers protected the celebration from radical counterprotesters.

Pro-choice group Abortion Rights had organised a counter demonstration. One week before the march, a law which bans prayer or the offer of help outside a London abortion centre came into effect.
