More than half of those who leave Roman Catholicism in the region turn to evangelical churches, finds a survey.

A march organised by pastors in Tegucigalpa asked the government to stop same-sex marriage legislation and gender ideology in schools.

According to a major survey, evangelicals are 37% of the population, Roman Catholics, 33%. 29% said they are unaffiliated believers and 1% identify as non-believers.

A recent survey shows that 43.2% of the Honduran population identify themselves as evangelical Christians. 38.2% are Roman catholics.
