It is a challenge to safeguard space where we can be exposed and unhindered to Bible engagement and prayer. But input determines output and it will shape our thoughts and then our speech.

An emphasis has been placed on helping to strengthen and develop national Evangelcal Alliances, especially those founded in recent decades.

The 1990s were a decade of fundamental change, not only in European society but also for the EEA. One expression of this change was the growth in membership.

Strengthening unity and cooperation amongst evangelicals was at the forefront of EEA programmes during the 1970s, along with a continuing emphasis on evangelism.

One recurring theme at EEA events was the authority of Scripture. Especially during the 1960s, the battle against modern theology attracted considerable attention, leading finally to a declaration in 1965.

The religious freedom report of the Protestant Association of Churches in Turkey goes to the government, politicians and media.  Foreign embassies, EU, UN, Christian partners and human rights NGOs also receive copies.

What should happen as restrictions are loosened and as impatience for normality grows? Can Christians continue to promote both freedom and responsibility?

It can be tempting to rush to act or just to ask for help but not actually make it possible for this assistance to be given.

Christians need to be more aware of the use of data concerning them, and of both the opportunities and risks associated with AI.

What is the attitude of the parties / candidates towards freedom of religion for all, including in public? How will they make sure that people of all faiths and none can live together as good neighbours?

A well-functioning Parliament is an important guarantor of a well-functioning European Union that knows its role and place.

Since no political party has a monopoly on truth and wisdom, Christians will vote in different ways. But, there is still huge value in praying and discussing together, asking for the Lord’s blessing and mercy.
