The evangelical platform Community in a Crisis calls church members from across Europe to respond to questions that will help “learn lessons from lockdown that will shape the future of the church”.
The online survey seeks to learn lessons learned by the churches during the Covid-19 crisis.
Members of evangelical churches from across Europe are welcome to respond to questions about how they experienced the lockdown.
Community in a Crisis is an initiative that has been set up as a response to the pandemic. “We’re passionate about relational church online”, the team based in the UK and supported by IFES Europe says.
The church online survey is conducted to “find out what the experience of church has been like for guests, members and leaders. Our survey will be shared across Europe and our hope is that we can learn lessons from lockdown that will shape the future of the church”.
The questions of the survey can be answered in over 15 European languages here.
The purpose, the team behind the initiative said, is to “help churches understand how they can best serve their congregations and visitors. It is anticipated that, in some countries, restrictions may persist for some time. These insights will also help church leaders to make decisions about routes out of lockdown which will best serve the needs of their congregations and visitor as restrictions are partially lifted”.
The process is anonymous and the results will be published only in aggregated form where individual respondents cannot be identified.
The team behind the survey are Nay Dawson, (Regional Training Co-ordinator of IFES Europe), Martine Barons (Vice chair of the Christian Postgraduate and Staff Network, Jo Rogers (anthropologist with experience in public engagement and communications, with the support of Arie De Pater (Brussels representative of the European Evangelical Alliance).
