About 800 people from most European countries are expected to gather in Wisla, a small town in Poland, for the annual European Leadership Forum (ELF) conference.

Evangelical leaders in areas such as the Arts, Politics and Society, Bible Teaching, Professional counselling, Science and others, will share experiences and learn from each other in the Forum’s 27 networks - meeting every morning.

The main programme starts on Saturday 19 May and will end on Thursday 24, but the optional pre-forum conferences started on Friday with two special tracks on “Flourishing Marriage” and “Pastoral answers to life’s questions”.

This year's Bible expositions will be led by Peter J. Williams, Principal of Tyndale House (Cambridge, UK) and the four evening plenaries speakers will be Pablo Martínez (Psychiatrist, former President of the Spanish Evangelical Alliance), Amy Orr-Wing (Director of the Oxford Centre for Christian Apolotetics), Peter Saunders (CEO of Christian Medical Fellowship) and Michael Reeves (President of Union School of Theology).

More than 100 elective workshops will be offered throughout the conference, with specialised topics such as: “Hospitality: The Lost Virtue of a 21st Century Church”, “Christianity and the New Biotechnologies”, “Understanding and Evaluating Claims Made About Islam’s History in Europe”, “De-Conversion: Why People Leave the Christian Faith – and (Re)Turn to It” or “How to Navigate a Fake News World”, among many others.

WORKING TOGETHER WITH A VISION FOR EUROPE

The annual gathering in Poland is a perfect platform for personal networking, at the ELF conference several mission movements meet to share a vision to re-evangelise Europe. “National nights” and year-round mentoring groups connect people in small groups and learning communities.

In addition, the conference’s Expo introduces the work of more than 20 Christian mission organisations working in Europe, from Bible Seminaries to youth evangelism projects, political platforms and media intiatives.

A group of more than 90 volunteers coming from four countries will serve the Forum participants throughout the five days of conference.

Learn more about the vision and the initiatives throughout the year in this interview with Greg Pritchard, the Director of the European Leadership Forum (recorded in 2015).
