Six French cities held an event full of music, testimonies and prayers, to “share God's love and the message of salvation with those who do not yet know him”.
Thousands of people participated in the March for Jesus in six French cities on 3 June.
The streets of Paris, Nantes, Strasbourg, Lille, Metz, and for the first time, Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe) were full of music, testimonies and prayers, to “share God's love and the message of salvation in Jesus Christ with those who do not yet know him”, said organisers.
Gilbert Léonian, president of the March for Jesus France, explained in an interview with French news website, Info Chrétienne that “the main aim of the March for Jesus is to promote unity, communion and cooperation among God's people, especially evangelical Christians, but “it is open to all those who want to make Jesus known”

“We want to have an impact on society by showing that evangelical churches are not a threat, but rather positive players in rebuilding our country in unity, harmony and respect for differences”, he added.

Prior to the march, the official March for Jesus page on Instagram mobilised participants by sharing an inspirational video, where World Champion footballer Olivier Giroud, sent a message of encouragement to all those who wanted to take part in the event .
The first March for Jesus was organised in London in 1987 by several evangelical associations, and Paris followed in 1991.
