The Jubilee Centre offers an online programme that “unpacks the biblical vision for society, and introduces the idea of thinking relationally”. European students are welcomed.
The Jubilee Centre (United Kingdom) is running the “Biblical Foundations for Public Leadership”, a programme “to develop and serve young Christian professionals seeking to make an impact for Christ in the ‘secular’ world”.
“The Bible provides us with a coherent vision for society that prioritises relationships and promotes social justice”, the promoters exaplin.
This is why the course trains “early-career Christians” through an eight month online course followed by a three-day Summer School in Cambridge (UK).
“The curriculum is based on Jubilee Centre’s research over 30 years. It unpacks the biblical vision for society, and introduces the idea of thinking relationally”.
The course combines personal study with periodic Skype discussions and reflective essays.
The course comprises 7 modules: “Foundations (Biblical Vision for Society and Relational Thinking)”, “The Economy (Finance, Debt & Interest, the Relational Company)”, “Politics (Human Rights, Democracy, International Relations)”, “Law & Justice (Bible & Law, Crime & Punishment, Prisons), “Family & Sexual Ethics (Marriage, Family, Gender and Sexuality)”, “Science & Technology (Bible & Science, Creation Care, Social Media)” and “The Arts (Bible & Arts, Sculpture, Painting & Music, Literature)”.
