Experienced Christian leaders will lead free online sessions on topics like discipleship, science or reliability of the Bible. The Forum of Christian Leaders hopes many will “join the global conversation”.
Lindsay Brown will open the new season of FOCL online webinars with a 90-minute session on the 10 major trends in mission in the 21st Century. It will be the first of 12 free high-quality online sessions open to participants from across the world.
“Forum Webinars are designed to give Evangelicals free access to some of the best teaching by senior Evangelical leaders”, the President of Forum of Christian Leaders (FOCL) Greg Pritchard told Evangelical Focus.
“The most common word that Jesus uses to describe his followers is ‘disciple’ -- which means ‘learner’”, and these webinars are “an opportunity to be taught and ask questions of some of world's most effective and knowledgeable leaders”.
FOCL is the main organisation behind the annual European Leadership Forum, which seeks to find “the most spiritual mature and effective leaders to teach at its annual meeting”.
The live online webinars between September and March “select the most highly valued and impactful of these sessions” in a new format.
A GLOBAL CONVERSATION
Pritchard believes this online initiative is “a chance for evangelicals to join in a global conversation and learn to love the Lord and others more deeply and learn how to use their gifts for His glory”.
