At leas 14 people have died and many areas are left "barely habitable." Irma has been downgraded to a category four, but officials warn that it remains "extremely dangerous".

A Christian organisation working with children in the region: “Pray that God protects us and gives us wisdom to understand how we can be useful in times like these.”

While the risk society is a secular phenomenon, it provides an opportunity for Christians to live distinctively and attractively.
