The Spanish Christian association Diaconia, organised a seminary about human trafficking for sexual exploitation. Representatives of all political parties debated about prostitution.

The criminal organisation exploited about one hundred Nigerian women. Prostitution and Human Trafficking are still major issues in Spain. 

Child trafficking, forced labour, domestic servitude and trafficking for sexual exploitation, are real problems today. Many events all around Europe have tried to raise awareness about it.

Scotland becomes the final part of the United Kingdom to introduce anti-trafficking laws. Human trafficking is now a specific offence, and the punishment for offenders increases to a maximum life sentence.

It's official, anyone buying sexual services risks imprisonment. So-called 'Swedish model' is applied.

The Police detained 11 people, between 35 and 75 years old. They exploited teenagers without their parents’ knowledge.

“We don’t have easy answers but we will play our part by praying for the authorities and by being a real presence in the area”, evangelicals write in an open letter to the local government.

Police estimate that around 300 people, mainly Romanian nationals, may have been exploited.

Police arrested 7 gang members and rescued 19 enslaved women. Spain alone produces 5 million Euro in the prostitution business every day. 

“Complete restoration is possible only through Christ”, said Matthew and Suha Daniel to Evangelical Focus. They work for Project Rescue, an organization that fights against sexual slavery in India and other regions.

The organization offered the “sexual services” of over 400 women, some of them minors.

“If there were no ‘johns’, there would be no prostitutes”. Each year 100,000 American girls and women are coerced into prostitution.
