If we would talk as much with Muslims as we do about them, Europe would be a different place.

The problem with the ECJ ruling on religious clothing is that it seems to be working on the assumption that secularism is ‘neutral’. But this is a myth.

Three churches have been banned for religious activities and another one was attacked in the last month. Banners against Christian candidate Basuki Tjahaja "Ahok" were rife all over Jakarta.

Fundamentalist Muslims, Reformed Muslims, Converted Muslims, Secular Muslims... There are at least 11 ways this faith is lived out in Europe.

Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, led the race with 43% of the votes. He is the first Christian who governs the city and is currently under trial for blasphemy charges.

"It is a terrorist attack on Muslims in a centre of worship and refuge", Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, denounced. Two men have been arrested.

“This demolition was done out of injustice and discrimination”, said Rev. Musa. Six more churches are due to be demolished.

For the Muslim convert, the feeling of being at home includes the aspects of fellowship (“sharing things in common”), and growing into a sense of shared ownership as partners.

According to Open Doors, 215 million Christians suffer “high, very high or extreme persecution”. North Korea continues at the top of the World Watch List. Africa is the region in which more Christians are killed because of their faith.

Outside the heavily guarded court, those opposing Ahok chanted, “Jail Ahok, jail Ahok, jail Ahok now”. Muslim clerics refer to the Christian politician as a “son of Satan”.

If we could all just affirm that everybody worships the same God, would there be much more peace in the world? Dr. Andy Bannister, Director of the Solas Centre for Public Christianity gives answers.

“Pray that God will protect the churches in the country”, say believers after 50,000 Muslims rallied against alleged “blasphemy” of Christian Governor of Jakarta Basuki Ahok Thahaja Purnama.

Besides the killings, hundreds of Christians have been displaced. Houses, worship centers and crops that were ready for harvest have all been destroyed.

Rebels attacked the village of Ndomete, about 220 miles north of the capital city of Bangui, and went door-to-door killing 26 Christians, according to Morning Star News.
