There are much better countries than Lebanon to live in but the question is not “where am I living?” Rather, “whom do I worship and submit to in the place I am living in?”
What salvation is this that can be lost by a shot in the arm? This jars with the scriptures from Genesis to Revelation. This jars with the life, person, teachings, and work of the revealed Word of God, Jesus Christ our risen savior!
Often, we think that the positive impact we are making for the Kingdom justifies or counterbalances the “perks” we granted ourselves along the way.
Sanctions on Syria serve to freeze the situation until the conditions for a political solution are available and attainable. But how long should we wait for this? Ten more years? In the meantime, the Syrian population – including Christians – are paying too heavy a price.
