Record attendance at the Spanish Assemblies of God conference

The largest Pentecostal federation in Spain plants a new church every week. Over 2,300 attended the ‘+Kingdom’ annual congress.

A moment of the congress in Gandia.

From 5 to 8 March, leaders and members of the Assemblies of God of Spain (ADE) gathered in the city of Gandía under the theme ‘+Reino’ (More Kingdom) to celebrate their National Congress and 63rd Convention.

The event had the highest attendance in its history, with over 2,300 people.

Not even the heavy rain, which at times flooded the interior of the large tent, could dampen the passion for seeking God or the commitment of those in attendance.

There were four days of worship, ministerial training, missionary vision and a call to multiplication. The historic number of attendees, the massive intergenerational turnout and the tireless work of the volunteer team showed a church moving forward with confidence.

“We are not here because we want another conference; we are here because we want more glory, more presence and more passion for souls,” they declared at the opening.

In 2025, 53 new ADE churches were planted throughout Spain at a rate of one every week. This expansive vitality is part of the global MM33 vision, which projects unprecedented growth over the next decade.

The mayor of Gandía, José Manuel Prieto, attended the opening ceremony. Representatives from FEREDE, the Spanish Evangelical Alliance, Spanish news website Protestante Digital, the Bible Society and the TV program Buenas Noticias TV, also participated.

The congress closed its doors “exceeding all expectations” and announcing the next major event of the Assemblies of God on 13 June in Madrid, to celebrate Pentecost.

Plenary sessions challenged heart and mind

Although the official programme began at 9:30 a.m., the large main tent was filled by 8:45 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday for prayer, preparing the spiritual atmosphere for all that God was going to do each day.

The programme featured national and international speakers. From Puerto Rico, pastors Elisabeth and Yashira Guidini brought messages about how God works through trials, urging genuine repentance and total surrender. They reminded leaders that “repentance is not just for the new convert, it is the way we walk and remain in the Kingdom”.

Growth and small groups

A key part of the programme was the panel discussion on Saturday afternoon, which focused on growth through small groups.

Led by experienced pastors, it stressed that true growth does not simply lie in gathering large crowds on Sundays, but in discipling, shepherding, and multiplying mature disciples through genuine relationships in home groups.

A firm commitment to the younger generations

It became clear at the gathering that young people are not just the future, but the active present of the church.

That is why there was a parallel programme designed exclusively for them, which was attended by 300 young adults, over 100 teenagers, and around 200 children.

The aim was not just to entertain them while the adults attended the plenary sessions, but to ensure that the new generations had a personal encounter with God, “receiving an impact from the Holy Spirit that would transform their lives, shape their character, and prepare them to bear the Kingdom's message in their own environments”.

63rd Convention: Leadership and practical training

The event also included sessions for the 63rd Assemblies of God convention, a time for administrative and institutional work. These sessions were attended by ADE ministers and representatives from local churches.

Meanwhile, a varied programme of workshops was offered to the rest of the attendees, addressing the current needs of the church and society.

The topics covered ranged from Foundations for Kingdom entrepreneurs, to the sociological analysis Migration: threat or opportunity? and Evangelism: confrontation between two kingdoms.

Social action played an important role, with Convoy of Hope presenting Compassion as a strategy of the Kingdom; the healing session Resilience and the future: healing wounds; and the workshop by Yashira Guidini on Principles of the Kingdom for the ministry of worship.

Ministerial ordination and communion

On Sunday morning, a large new group of ministers and assistant ministers were solemnly ordained.

During the moving ceremony, they were reminded of their calling to serve faithfully, safeguarding their own lives and the flock under the strict guidance of the Holy Spirit.

The day concluded with the Lord’s Supper around the table.
