The leader of the Liberal Democratic party (UK) is against the Brexit. “If we’re out of the EU on April 1, 2019, the Lib-Dems will call for the UK to rejoin on our terms.”
The British Liberal Democratic party leader, Tim Farron has always described himself as an active Christian.
“My faith puts everything in perspective”, he told the English newspaper Evening Standard in an a recent interview.
When asked if people in public life are afraid to talk about religion, Farron said: “Yes. In America you’ve got to invent a faith to be taken seriously; in the UK you have to pretend not to have one. You shouldn’t be ashamed.”
He has been part of the Lib Dem Christian Forum, an internal Christian branch of the party, for some years.
“BRUSSELS LOVES THE IDEA OF BRITAIN REJOINING”
The Liberal Democratic party leader has always been against the Brexit. He believes that “in Brussels they love the idea - in theory - of Britain rejoining” and wants another referendum on the terms of the deal.
That is why “if we’re out of the EU on April 1, 2019, the Lib-Dems will call for the UK to rejoin on our terms”, Farron explains.
He also thinks Theresa May has given up too easily on the single market: “She says the EU won’t move on freedom of movement so we can’t be in the single market. That’s rubbish. There’s plenty of potential pragmatism from Europe.”
ANTI-BREXIT MARCH
Tens of thousands of people joined an anti-Brexit march to call for Britain to remain in the European Union last Saturday, just some days before Prime Minister the Prime Minister triggered the exit process from the EU.
According to Farron, “the only way Brexit will not happen is if the British people don’t want Brexit to happen.”
