The European Evangelical Alliance will hold its General Assembly online on October, 6-7. Registration is already open free of charge.
This year, the General Assembly of the European Evangelical Alliance (EEA) will be held online on October, 6-7.
The Assembly is “a platform where general secretaries of National Evangelical Alliances, affiliate members and chairs of EEA networks and their staff members bond, connect, find better synergy of how to support one another and profit from each other”, explains the EEA.
Furthermore, it is also “a place where Christians from all over Europe who feel connected to the Evangelical movement can make contacts and receive inspiration for their spiritual life and work”.
The gathering will include Bible reflection, reflecting on the mission of the church in Europe, fellowship, sharing from the regions, connecting with EEA, its partners and staff, under the theme “Liberating truth: The power of discipleship”.
Participants will be “revisiting the Five Marks of Mission as a way to ground ourselves in Truth, while uncovering myths, misconception and fears”.
“We live in times of post-truth and twisted narratives. Over time, misconceptions have easily filtered into the way we think and see mission. Jesus set us free, and brings liberating truth to each of his disciples”, stresses the EEA.
The program will be a organised around five tracks, one for each mark of mission.
According to the EEA, those 5 marks of mission are:
Each participant chooses one of these tracks/marks when making his or her registration and will be working on that topic with the same group, during the conference.
The official EEA members meeting will take place within the General Assembly on the morning of October 7.
Only EEA members (National Evangelical Alliances and Affiliate Members) are allowed to vote in the members meeting.
Participation in the conference is free of charge, but the EEA would greatly appreciate a donation to help it cover the costs incurred.
