Throughout a weekend in Paris, representatives of all kinds of evangelical and Protestant churches came together to reflect on how to be “a church on mission”.
Evangelical leaders from across France and other francophone countries met in Paris for the annual Centre Evangelique conference.
The annual meeting aims to gather, unite and encourage people in churches and Christian organisations. The theme this year was: "The church in mission: being, speaking, doing".
Over 700 people overcrowded the two-day event, forcing the organisation to think about a larger venue for next year’s edition.

The conference included Bible expositions, roundtables (on issues such as evangelism, creation care, social action and justice), free evening events with music, and the Labos d’idées (ideas laboratories). These consisted in small groups of maximum 10 people discussing specific topics such as how to share the gospel with Muslims, how to finance the Christian mission, or how to respond to new laws.
In a large hall, 128 Christians organisations presented their work with exposition booths.

In one of the sessions, representatives of the French evangelical alliance (CNEF) and the Protestant Federation dialogued about how to better collaborate in certain issues. Together, the entities represent most Protestant churches in the country.
