The master class “will explore our deep-felt needs and how to segue from the topic of longings to a presentation of the Gospel”.
The Forum of Christian Leaders (FOCL) will held a new master class on Saturday, 7 December.
As in previous editions, registration is free and available for all.
Jerry Root, professor of Evangelism and Leadership at Wheaton College and director of the Evangelism Initiative, will be teaching the 3-hour and a half-long (15.00 – 18.30 London time) free master class, “C.S. Lewis and the longing for God: The Gospel and deep felt need”.
“Embedded in each of us are deep-felt needs that, when properly understood, reveal the heart’s quest for God. Understanding and recognising these longings in our own lives will make us better at connecting the Gospel to the deep-felt needs in the hearts of all we meet”, says the FOCL in the presentation of the class.
That is why the master class “will explore these longings and how to segue from the topic of longings to a presentation of the Gospel”.
The session will be held on the Zoom platform, and will include a time for questions and answers. Participants will be able to join from home or in groups from church settings.
The FOCL also organises the annual European Leadership Forum conference in Wisla, Poland. The registration for the 2025 gathering is already open.
