The Christian “Elements of Rock” weekend was first held in 2004. This year it will have rockers from Sweden, Netherlands and the UK.
A small Christian metal and hard rock music festival started almost 20 years ago in Switzerland has managed to survive the pandemic.
“We’ve been in a holding pattern for four years, now it’s getting closer”, festival director Mike Hauser told Swiss news website Livenet.ch. “It’s a surreal feeling, I don’t think I realise it until it's on”. He leads a team called Unblack.

The Elements of Rock concerts will happen between 17 and 19 March in the town of Uster, near Zurich.
The festival started in 2004 and brings together around 450 people each year during a spring weekend. A diverse international line-up of “metal bands with a positive connection to Christian faith” perform.

In addition to the music shows, a separate, “voluntary & free day programme with church services & seminars” is offered as well.
Twelve bands playing styles such as Melodic Metal, Power Metal, Hard Rock and Post-hardcore have confirmed they will be on stage. Coming from Switzerland, Sweden, Netherlands, Germany and the US, they include names such as Crystal Ball, Wytch Hazel, Majestica and Millenial Reign.
